MT WARNING. STAIRCASE TO THE SKY
The extinct remains of this gigantic volcano tower over the Tweed Valley. This is the
first place on the Australian continent to be touched by the morning sun and was
named "Wollumbin" or "Cloud Catcher" by the indigenous Bundjalung people as they
regarded it as a "staircase to the sky." The ancient forests here are a window to the

birdlife. Listed as a UNESCO World Heritage site in 1986, this amazing place offers a
reflective escape from everyday life and a glimpse into the eternal.

worshippers. A beautiful stretch of beach where surfers and dolphins play. Superb
restaurants, great pubs, fashionable boutiques, art and craft galleries and beautiful
