LOCALITY Shambala is located at the historic village of Uki, which is situated in the caldera of Mt Warning. We are a short drive of 10min from the rural centre of Murwillumbah and a 1/2 hr drive from the International Gold Coast airport where we can meet you or you can hire a car from one of the many car rental companies. The easiest way to access Shambala by road, is to take the Kyogle Road west of Murwillumbah for 14ks . Staircase to the sky - Mount Warning
Mount Warning is different things to different people a challenge, a rainforest experience, a staircase to spectacular views, a feast of sights, sounds and smells that awakens the senses ..or just an escape.
The summit track climbs and winds through 4.4km of changing vegetation communities, with a final steep rock scramble emerging to 360º views reaching every distant horizon. The entire walk takes about five hours and although strenuous, can be accomplished by pacing oneself according to age and fitness.
